Sports Specialism

Westcroft has maintained its sports specialism that it gained in 2000 and continues to use PE and Sport as a vehicle for school improvement.

The unique value of PESS is used to benefit all children within the school, giving them access to a wide range of sporting and curriculum opportunities both in and outside of school hours.

Targeted groups such as Healthy 15 and Sky Living for Sport Boxing Project are used to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and impact upon behaviour, attendance, concentration and effort

As a Project Ability School with the Youth Sport Trust our main focus is to provide professional development around inclusion. This includes working with schools, staff and coaches across the Black Country providing bespoke support as well as delivering Sportsability and Sainsburys Active Kids for All courses.

Working in partnership with Wolverhampton PASS (Partnerships and School Sport) we aim to provide more opportunities for young SEND people by creating a range of local competitions in a range of sports.
